Let me be your song

Let me be your song
which you sing to the stars
when you are alone at night
or walking during day time

Let me be your song
Which you can sing to the birds
which at my window, once chirped
they left my paradise for your heaven

Let me be your song
which can open up your doors
of opportunities and love abound

Let me be your song
which you will hum to yourself
in monotonous tone when
you are amongst your friends

Let me be your song
which you can sing to the nature
when it soaks you in monsoon
or sweats you in summers

Let me be your song
which can be played when you
wait for your loved one
on your wedding day at the church

Let me be your song
your voice will give it beauty
Removing all your pains
Magical, Your life remains

Let me be your song, dear love
which you can lull to your kids
somewhere in future
Even when am dead

Let me be your song
which you can change the rhythm of
but the words will always remain the same

And I hope this is written on my tombstone that;
I was sung by the best soul all throughout his life
With each verse you gave me blessings
Making our each memory engrave on the aurora sky

Beginning of an End 2013 #OctPoWriMo day 31

I see the end of this year
Which I have been awaiting for
Things which have gone wrong
Which I will make right next year

Met a lot of new people
I wish they stay forever
Just, this phase irks me
where I have been stuck

Next year I see me
standing on a mountain top
living my dreams
surviving against the odds

When new leaves will grow
old ones will fall
And the fate I have been accepting
I will write it myself, this time

No, its not that I am complaining
this year has taught me a lot
of pain and of being left behind
For which I thank God

But I want to ride on rainbows too
visit the land of happiness soon
I know the time is coming
I see light at the end of this tunnel

The beginning of an end has started
this era is ending, yes
I will be a star again
I am walking towards the Sun.

This October, probably has been the best time of this year for me, thanks to OctPoWriMo 2013 and Nimue who introduced me to this beautiful concept and stayed with me till this day (I am sure she will stay in times ahead also). OctPoWriMo has not only been an inspiration but an irresistible cobweb of out-of-the-world writers & poets who have immensely appreciated my poems and pushed me till this date. Frankly, without Nimue or any of those beautiful souls who read my poems and took out enough time to comment here, I would have given up long back. True, journeys become easy and fun with amazing people.
Not to forget the prompts made it all enthusiastic. I admire all the people who gave us those prompts to pen down upon. I have also bookmarked a lot of blogs, I will keep hovering over their writings now.
Learnt a lot here, made new friends too. I will embrace all 31 days of this month for a long time to come.
My heart is filled with gratitude. OctPoWriMo 2013 has been very special to me.

Engraved, not buried #OctPoWriMo 2013 day 10

PART- 1

Suddenly reminded of you a lot
And suddenly, I catch myself thinking
It's buried too deep now.

Suddenly I can't stop feeling it
But I'm not feeling it as much
It's buried too deep now.

And suddenly I catch my face contorting
My eyes leaking
My veins visible
Suddenly I'm not such a grown up anymore

Suddenly I'm back in college

The above is originally written by Anup Bishnoi on his blog Grass on Fire named "Engraved, not buried". I picked it up for inspiration. Here is my reply, or better called - an extension to his words.

PART- 2

The walls are calling me more
The windows long shut, are open again
It's uncovering like lost treasure.

Bleak voices of fun
or the tiny rays of sun
It's all uncovering like lost treasure.

I can feel those days again
But they are passing me by
I know; not here to stay
I still hold them in tight fists of mine

Leaving here a piece of me
which will wander even when I am gone
Until I say someday; yet again
Suddenly I'm back in college

This prompt of "A reply poetry" submitted by a very close friend Nimue created a void and filled it itself with brighter colors in form of words. Trying to reply to a poem which is an inspiration, is more or less frightening with the first thought of "justifying" it with proper words, which, yes seems next to impossible.
But once done, it leaves with a realization of how much Anup Bishnoi inspires me (which is deeper than I thought before writing this).
I am yet frightened if I have done justice to his words and his feeling of attachment to his college days. Again it gave me some more bliss, cos I do not have fond memories from college but thanks to him I lived a little from his side. And yes, this is a tiny (insignificant actually) piece of dedication to him.
So thank you Anup Bishnoi for the impact you have left on me. More of less, for the amazing person you are. Keep doing it, please.
And it doesn't stop without thanking Nimue, for its because of her I went through a lot of feelings while writing this. I discovered a new part of me.

P.S- Apologies, I know it does not match your level of writing, at all.

Too much PACH!?

Yesterday was a bad day. Bad as in.. really bad day. Bad like tiring, head-eating, weird, disheartening,  'I give up'- kind of day.
I revise my day at night. The pictures of day spent passes my head by. I like doing it. Its important to remember, to embrace, to cherish, to improvise... to endure.
Yesterday's picture .... sucked. Literally. Its just hard to sleep with a sad face. Its one things that advances the very next brimming morning. I switched my head. No, not off. I switched it to a happy place. To a place called PACH.
I cant summarize Pach as Poetry and Cheap Humor group. It'll be an insult to keep it framed in four terms when half of your present world's happiness is subsiding in it. Actually, more than half. Sometimes, its the only happiness if life right now existing in real world. Pach took so much from my being. A little hesitant in the beginning, but I saw Pach just asking me to let go. I finally did. It gave me back a thousand times fold than what I gave.
Of course, I grabbed it all.
Its the rainbow- right after a heavy storm.
Its a tree- spreads & grows.
Its the north star- always sticks in blue-black blanket on head; to guide.
Its the family- supports & respects.
Its the friend- just doesn't judge.
Its a child- knows no bounds.
Its a flower- blooms all seasons.
Its a coffee mug- it understands.
Its Sun- looks breathtaking both coming & going.

Pach has taught me epiphany, to utter sense; it just doesn't interpret- only acknowledges.

Last night, I slept with a smile on my face. Thanks Pach!

It listens; calmly, patiently.
It gives wings to fly.
It stays; time immemorial, it just does.
Its sticks, it embraces, it gives Love.

My special thanks to Saumya di and Anup bhaiya, for giving me the best gift of life- till date.

The last words. Of parivartan. Of gratitude.

The remembrances of older days are recollecting in my head like a flash right from my first year to this very moment. "The most important question of life is what are you doing for others?"
Like dew drops each memory is clinging to the tree and will now fall one at a time. With every dream coming true- right from multiple camps to a heavy step like clean satya to a risky business like Sugraahi or haphazard event with slum kids 2 days back, each one has come out beautifully. A real successful year this 2012-2013 was.
I convey my thanks to my members, my family. "I must be cruel only to be kind". I thank everyone for tolerating my anger & showing your patience. 8 am morning meetings or leaving college at 8-9pm after work memories are the ones I am taking with me.
The farewell was beautiful, really beautiful for I could see glimpses of our work at the back of my head and in eyes of everyone with beautiful annual magazine in hands. I do not wish to thank by taking names as you all have made me proud. The team would have been incomplete with anyone missing.
Keep up the good work you guys! Keep going this way; for this way is the best of all. We all have seen this video- but I want everyone to view this when something upsets or bothers you, ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IReflkF4_tc&feature=youtu.be

For now, its time for me to say Goodbye. With tears of joy, of happiness, of pain, of love, of laughter of everything I wish you all good luck for years to come.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land

Bliss that I find here

That blessing in life called Parivartan
Almost three years at college, coming to an end and it has already started pinching somewhere. Never have I really liked my chemistry department though, where I study. Its something beyond my department and friends that I will miss.
The amazing work we kept doing
Almost three years at Parivartan, coming to an end and surely it is pinching me. Parivartan- Social Service Society of my college, I have been associated with since my first year, an amateur who surely wanted to learn a lot from senior ones. My boring classes, long labs, furious teachers, have always come at second priority after smiles I wanted to bring at so many faces. The first year I only came to college for society work, ngo visits and receive as much experience as I could and sincerely respected orders given to me by seniors when I started off under teach the kids. Second year was even better- with three amazing people I have met in my college life whom I can never think of living without- Riddhi, Disha and Swati. The knowledge and experience just got better with them and we clearly had spread out our web at larger diameter, working for street children, people with disabilities and many more. Third year was a loss in beginning as my heart missed them a lot. With that came a responsibility of being the head of the society where I, now, have to give orders and see who all are working efficiently. Feels empty sometimes as no one sees if I am working efficiently or not.
Letting you go was the hardest thing I did since  years.
But you made me realize you are around all the time.
College for me, only means working with Parivartan- running for permissions, scolding kids, slum teaching, associating with double the ngos we worked with last year and spreading as much awareness as we can. I will be missing my college, my society which has given me lot. Three amazing years at Parivartan are coming to an end. Not to forget the amazing and hardworking people I have met all throughout these years. Most of them have graduated, some will graduate with me, some who will do so in coming years. It feels like I have grown a lot- as a human, as a person. Surely I have learned to respect my co-workers. The journey of bringing change in college life as a student is coming to an end. But, as a person, it is not. I still have long way to go and continue my relations, visits to many organizations especially working for people suffering from disabilities. I thank Parivartan with open heart for teaching me all walks of life. Talking of experience, many more are yet to come. And of bonds, surreal ones just grow with time.
The awesome trio!
That blessing in your life which we all call- Parivartan

The pursuit to find a clover

"When will I find a clover maa"? a little girl in pink frock asked her mum cooking food in morning. With a light pink headband, she looked beautiful. Her mother smiled, not looking at her yet.
"Whats with the clover, darling. Since days you are busy finding the clover"? her mother asked now bent on knees to come in level of her height, leaving her cooking oil aside. The girl only had a sorrow face, as if too much impounded in her thoughts.
"I want to collect luck, many of my friends already have", she said starring the white tiles on kitchen floor.
To this, the mother maintained her smile of awe and spoke, "You have family, friends, good school and everything you need. Why still hover over finding clover?" and kissed her forehead.
Time passed by. Little girl grew up. The frocks were taken over by denims and tops, hair grew and so did her beauty. The mind was captivated over searching for clover and her friends sometimes helped her too, though they already had theirs.
Earth had rotated and revolved a lot of time since her never-ending quest for catching a clover had began. She kept her priorities, friends, life at bay and slowly they all drifted apart, as boats leave the shore alone after departure, sometimes leaving someone behind.
Today, its been two decades since her eyes, soul, heart, mind haven't rested in peace only to catch some luck in life. To attain something she desired so long, she lost what she already possessed. Sitting alone on the shore, looking at the beautiful sunset so far and mesmerizing, she looks at the life she had lost, the horizon now not in sight of eye, anguished why she didn't climb the boat.
We all need some luck in life- health, study, finance, job, relations to reach the pinnacle of life and attain nirvana. But what we forget is what we hold in our hands- friends, family. One must be thankful for what he already owns and honor it every passing minute such that it stays. To find the missing puzzle piece, we must feel glad to have a few pieces with us.
Respect what you already have, then only you shall get more.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful" -

A token of Thanks

Two years back I initiated writing via this amazing blogspot, with ordinary skills and not much exposure. I never had much combat when it comes to professionalism in writing until I realized its only putting yourself in front of the mirror and celebrating the mirage of life. Keeping aside sophistication and maturity, I gave it a try only with immaturity and Love which my heart beheld for bringing a dream into reality- my own blog. I ensured going ahead only to have fun and get rid of melancholy of life. The blog stood aloof having the best, the good, the bad, the worse moments with a hint of all feelings- ecstasy, excitement, gloomy, care, majorly Love and mainly what we call-Life.
Here I readily enjoy overlooking 80 posts I have written and rejoice that I have grown, not as a writer much, but as a person. I hereby have made a gratitude list in accordance with the events that occur:

  • I must thank Saumya Di, for introducing me to the world of blogging for not only giving me a collar but also for giving me the base to stand upon when I needed it. Without her, I wouldn't have started it in turn. Her way of writing, still remains an inspiration to me: http://www.nascentemissions.com/
  • My heart is filled with gratitude to the technological world. Though I can never understand how it works, but it does. I must convey my thanks to blogspot.com for giving a perfect platform to everyone without any chauvinism between professionalism and immaturity and also for giving me amazing gadgets to use anytime.
  • I am filled with gratitude to my computer for sure, without any grievances it has been a provision for me to write. My every post has been written only on my computer.
  • I am grateful to Hardik Gaurav, my only perfect, reliable photographer I have known since the college life began. Each of his picture is a beauty which soothes the eyes and charms the heart. Most of my pictures used on blog come from him. Thanks Hardik for being an avid reader too. His page on facebook is a must to visit: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hardik-Photography/215147545184751?ref=ts&fref=ts
  • Next person I must thank is Jagpreet who I dont know how but always manages to leave me with a comment and deliver a smile on my face.
  • Love you Samvita, you have been an inspiration behind many of my posts which come out as beautifully as you & me are together. With all my heart I thank Nitti and Anjali, who have successively been spreading a word about my blog wherever and to whoever possible since a long time and managed to bring me more avid readers.
  • I must convey my Thanks to Himanshu, you've just put this bug me in for trying long sentences. Some day, I promise to touch your expectations.
  • There's always some mood-related music going on at the background when I am trying to paint the world with my words. Thanks to music, no doubt which pushes me enough to keep writing.
  • I thank Nature, Humanity, for bringing me enough beautiful creations to write upon.
  • I thank God for how He has made me. For I can feel Love, happiness, pain, grief, friendship and everything which become my way of writing post to post.
  • I am humbled to have many readers who get inspired by my posts and discuss things with me when we meet. Varuna, I owe you for this one.
  • A great bouquet of thanks to so many ardent readers my stats show outside India as well. God knows what regularly pulls you all towards my blog, but it makes me happy and arouse me to write more & more. Cheers to all 80 posts, wonderful followers and so many blog views I happen to get whenever I open my blog.

To all the people who have made this blog what it is today :) Thank you!
