kaho kya khayal hai...

Chalo baant le hum zindagi
zara aaj yu karle
kaho kya khayal hai..

wouldn't you accept it with open arms?

My balcony is as spacious as I'd always wanted it to be. The plants fill up the void perfectly. And right in front I have a view of more plants who dance amazingly in rain. What a picture!
What to do when something's off since last night? What to do when nobody's home? What to do when you've got none to talk to? What to do if its raining and all your plants are cancelled?
Sitting on the jute chair near the entrance of balcony, looking at the rain, I ask myself this. The rain drops falling in a sequence, everywhere, on everything, for everyone just seems to have all answers. Humming beautiful songs, imagining nothing but rain, smiling for no reason, all lead to something grand- maybe utter state of happiness - a temporary happiness, a temporary madness, a temporary feeling, a temporary void, a temporary love, a temporary dream, a temporary desire, a temporary living, yet a permanent 'oneself'. Singing to oneself or maybe dedicating it to someone, who surely doesn't know am thinking of them in some corner of the world. Isnt it beautiful? Desiring with no desires? What feeling is it? Is it love? or just lust?
But its not always a time to seek answers to all questions. Often its about finding solace within...

This beautiful song made me do it.

Hope it touches the string of your hearts, same as it did mine.

Its Been A Long Time

Its been a long time
Since clock has struck some happy hours
Since I have made you smile
Or I have made you feel mine
But I still Love you
Like the wind loves the chimes

Its been a long time
Since you made that gesture to come closer
And I accepted it like a treasure
Feels like the world is parting into halves
But I still Love you
Like the sky loves the shooting stars

Its been a long time
You left me with many scars
Yet I treasure those
Because scars are the only things I have from you
I still Love you
Helpless, devoid, destroyed, yet with no irks

Life is a musical series. We have so many singers, composer and sometimes some instruments playing at the back of our minds.
I heard one song few days back and got lost in my dreams. The music provides us with an escaping portal whenever required. The song only had piano playing with no words. None words were required I thought. I imagined myself walking on a candy-flossed cloud with barefoot and eyes closed. My soul gets dispersed in all directions possible. As the note pitched a little higher, I fell down form the cloud towards the ground as slowly as possible. As if pearls falling from heavens. The dispersed soul comes back into its original form all of a sudden, hitting my very being from inside. The song ended throwing me back into reality of a struggled life. For a second I had reached the stage where I used to play the keyboard, long back. I miss the keyboard. I miss the happiness of life which came with it. I miss the black & white keys which made my world yellow. Now I feel deprived. I guess I gave up too early. When people constantly force you for something, there comes a time when you want to let them take over you and end the fight. The escaping portal has long gone now.
Here's a song which I bet anyone would love to get lost into. Let it reach the depth of your very being.

The "Sound"

I just started as a sort of awakening five-six years back when the tunes touched by soul. So deep, that it enlightened me just by means of strings, no words required. Pathetically, I used to listen his reyas in morning at 6 am. Not to be hypothetical now, he is a 45-50 years old man. And the stairs moved as like in Hogwards, from the floor of westernized music to Indian rooted one.
For now, its hard for me to see, the tabla being exchanged by a drum, the sitar & tanpura by guitars of different styles, harmonium by piano and flute by saxophone. An infamous saying- "One must learn to transform with the world". However the auxiliary standpoint is -"One the contrary, one must even learn to hold the roots".
Duly, I would dig up into 90's songs. {Correction: The 'awesome' 90's songs). It just made me more barmy. Admitted into my board of interest, was Kailash Kher. Being an admirer of his "Teri Deewani" which's video was launched in 2004. The music which turned the wave of music into a very requisite & jeopardized manner. This song is like a drug to me which I cannot do without. And yes, I sleep only once my mind and soul swims into this song, satisfactorily.
More than that, what would thrill me was an instrumental music, filled with chords, even more than any song. The best thesis which I found were on a violin, which a girl in my society agreed to play it for me, daily. Exclusively, Ode to Joy- Beethovan & My blue Shoe- Bishop
And the chords on piano, always awestruck me! I somehow learned to play the stanza of My Immortal- Evanescence & Where'd you go- Fort minor, which am sure even a 5th standard child can play.
Then comes another - A flute. My brother knows to play it, so I would haul him occasionally and get something out of that wooden piece. However, the flute at the background of Teri Deewani catches my ear more often than the lyrics.  My best were many pieces from Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasiya and the omnipresent- Ustaad Bismillah Khan ji. How eagerly I used to ask my father to bring him play at my future wedding.

The blend is here though, The Deewarists- "Musicians led by passion embark on a journey to discover places, inspire change, explore sound, collaborate .. in a search of a song.. Because some things are just worth doing"- The say.
